Areal rainfall in the Kathmandu valley

Abstract

The mesoscale variation of rainfall in the Kathmandu valley and surrounding regions have been estimated for 1225 grid points by computer program, which considers the effect of orography an important factor in areas like the Kathmandu valley where sharp topographical variations occur within small distances.
