Radar observations of cyclones in the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal

The paper presents features observed on radar, of tropical cyclones in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. The features discussed are the differences in the organisation of cloud bands, the structure of the central eye, and the distribution of coastal rainfall. Qualitative explanations are offered. Evidence of trochoidal movement of! the storm is also presented.
