Abstract

A battery powered transistorized lightning stroke counter which can record lightning strokes to ground was developed. This counter is sensitive to positive pulses within a frequency band of 100 to 2500 Hz and has threshhold levels from 10-100 volts which can be set by an attenaator. The minimum duration between Successive pulses which can be counted is 0.5 sec. It weighs about 4 kg and its dimensiona are 150 mm x 150 mm X 175 mm.
