Abstract

Radar observations at Agartala during the premonsoon months of April and May form the basis for this study. The preferred sectors and ranges of occurrence of convective cells around Agartala and the variation in the maximum heights attained during different periods of the day have been studied. Movement of convective cells, in relation to the upper wind in the area, has also been studied.
