Abstract

Rainfall trends in India and Pakistan have been studied. The average rainfall works out to be 4.65 considering 20 stations with data ranging from 59-138 years. The variation of mean rainfall from station to station is considerable. Besides this spatial variation there is variation from year to year to warring extent at the different stations. Mean rainfall standard deviation and coefficient of variability at each the station are presented. There is no significant short period trend in the annual rainfall at the differen6t stations. There is no general tendency for increase or decrease min the case of any of the stations.
