Abstract

Based on the five-year averages of the values of pressure, temperature and relative humidity at 850-mb level, the corresponding values of modified radio-refractive index have been computed for 13 stations in India. These data have been utilised to discuss the monthly and seasonal distribution of radio-refractive index at 850.mb level. A large number of radio-climatic charts have been prepared for this isobaric surface and the prominent features of the distribution of radio-refractive index at this level have been discussed.
