Abstract

Systematic crop and weather observation  twice-a-day (0700 and 1400 hrs local time) on rabi jowar at Rajchur Agro Met, Observatory during 1948-67 have been analysed. The varieties under observations were M 35.1 and PJ -4R and each of 18 weeks in duration. Following Gangopadhyaya and Barker (1963), the analysis of these observations were made to evaluate the curvilinear response of the crop. The present study has confirmed the advantage of applying curvilinear multiple correlation as to the behaviour of the crop in relation to weather as postulated by Gallgopadhyaya and Sarker.
