From the records of Long-period Vertical component seismographs of identical characteristics at Delhi, Dehra Dun and Bhakra the phase velocity of Rayleigh. Wave has been computed. The waves extended from a period of about 17 sec to about 50 sec. The observed dispersion was compared with plausible theoretical models and it is seen that In the area of study the crustal thickness is about 40 km inclusive of 5 to 6 kill of sediments
